Temporary GP Medical Receptionist, Crail Medical PracticeGP Practice

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and approachable Temporary GP Receptionist to join our practice team initially for a period of six months.

The main part of this role will be working on the reception desk, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for our patients. You will be working as part of a busy practice team and will need to be able to communicate confidently and sensitively with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals.

Main duties will include:
• Welcoming and assisting patients at reception
• Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries
• Booking and managing patient appointments
• Handling queries and signposting patients appropriately
• Processing administrative tasks and updating patient records
• Liaising with GPs, nurses and other members of the practice team
• Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
• Supporting the wider reception and administrative team as required

• Comfortable using computer systems
• Previous GP practice or NHS reception experience would be desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate
