We are looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team due to the relocation of one of our existing salaried GPs.

Main duties of the job

15 min appointment slots

Priorities for work/life balance.

Very occasional home visits.

Paramedic Home Visiting Services.

Practice Pharmacy team reducing prescription workloads.

Rapid Health automated triage service meaning little involvement in triage.

A dedicated Administrative Team reducing letters.

Training practice.

EMIS Web.

On site Parking.

Support for your professional development.

There is also opportunity for overtime when providing holiday cover.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide a full range of general medical services, including face-to-face and telephone.

Manage a varied clinical caseload across all age groups

Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate

Prescribe safely and effectively in line with local and national guidelines

Refer patients to secondary care and other services as required

Participate in duty doctor

Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS

Participate in safeguarding processes for both children and vulnerable adults

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

*MRCGP

*Good interpersonal and communication skills

*Flexibility and ability to work in teams

*Demonstrate an understanding of the differences between a partner and a salaried doctor

*Full UK driving licence and own transport

*Adaptable to change

*Available to undertake the sessional requirements of the Job Description

Desirable

*Interest or additional qualifications in a specialist area

*Experience supervising or mentoring trainees, medical students, or allied health professionals
